My parents immigrated to America in the 80’s. Soon after, my sister and I were born. As the younger sister by four years, I experienced much of the negative dynamics my family endured through a filter of youth and the protection of my sister. Even still, my early life chapters are comprised of my parents’ tumultuous divorce, leading to my mother raising both my sister and me as a single parent.
I have learned a great deal through my life chapters and continue to do so as I grow as a therapist as well as in my other life roles. Through my education and work with therapy, I have been able to better understand my core values and how I strive to live them out every day.
I strongly identify as a lifelong learner and seek to apply that in every aspect of my life. Above all, my passion to work with people comes from my belief that every person is fundamentally good and deserves to be loved.
